Finding Minerals.

Huia is a really small team of people committed to growing and making delicious wine. Considering the environment is equally important to us. We live on the vineyard and grow the veggies we eat not far from the grapes we grow. There is no place for chemicals in that scenario.

We’re also pretty big on ensuring we leave the place in good nick for the next generation and the generations after that. Life’s short but it’s not short enough to disregard the responsibility we have to our environment. For us, our land is a personality to be treated with the same respect as any other person. Much like the Whanganui River was officially granted the status of a legal human being in 2017, well that’s how we think of Huia.

Working with and supporting businesses that share our vision for the planet is how we like to roll. So, from 1st of May, 2022 we proudly handed the Aotearoa sales management for our wines to the good folk at Mineral.

Mineral was established in 2011 by James Barber and Stephanie Reade. Determined to work with like-minded, environmentally conscious producers, the pair set about creating a distribution company that put people and place before product while retaining an outstandingly premium portfolio.
